Unreal Tournament 2004 is the third game in the popular Unreal Tournament series.There are several weapons available to you, all of which come with a secondary fire. You have pistols, shock rifles, Redeemer rocket launchers (which can launch a missile guided by you), AVRiL missile launcher, lightning gun, rocket launcher and flak cannon, to name a few.

2004 features, for the first time, vehicles, which are available in Onslaught. You can hop into a tank, a humvee, a scorpion (similar to the Warthog in Halo), and five different flying vehicles, ranging from ships to transporters. Each vehicle has it's own characteristics, and some can hold multiple players. Each vehicle also has a personalized license plate with the name of the player driving it.

There are over one hundred maps to choose from. A lot of them are remakes from the past versions of the game, and there are several new ones made for 2004. Maps can be downloaded in the future, from official sources or from amateur mapmakers.

Unreal Tournament 2004 also includes a detailed single player campaign, in which you earn credits by competing in tournaments, which you then use to draft a team to compete in team-based tournaments. You work your way up qualifying ladders to the championship.

Trivia :

• Originally, Epic had planned compatibility between UT 2003 and UT 2004, but during development but the network code had changed too much for the games to remain compatible.

• Unreal Tournament 2004 was ranked # 30 in the 50 Best Games of All Time list published by PC Gamer Magazine in its April 2005 issue.

Cheats :

Press [Tab] or ~ during game play in a botmatch to display the console window. Type enablecheats to enable cheat mode. You can now enter one of the following codes at the console window to activate the corresponding cheat function.

When your adrenaline reaches 100 and it starts to flash, quickly tap forward (W) four times for a speed power-up.

Hint: Self-heal adrenaline combo:
When your adrenaline reaches 100 and it starts to flash, quickly tap back (S) four times to get a self-heal power-up.

Hint: Invisibility adrenaline combo
When your adrenaline reaches 100 and it starts to flash, quickly tap left strafe (D) two times then right strafe (A) two times to get invisibility.

Hint: Berserk adrenaline combo:
When your adrenaline reaches 100 and it starts to flash, quickly tap forward (W) two times and back (S) two times.

Hint: Pint sized adrenaline combo:
When the extra combo mutator is turned on, quickly tap Left Strafe four times.
