Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend

Published by Eidos Interactive Ltd.
Developed by Crystal Dynamics, Inc.
Released 2006
Genre Action

Description :

Legend is the seventh major game in the Tomb Raider series, now for the first time developed by crystal dynamics along with the original character designer of the game's protagonist Lara Croft: Toby Grad.

Heroine Lara is searching for a South American relic, but her adventure takes a different course when rogue anthropologist Amanda Evert shows up. Presumed dead along with a team of graduate students after an accident in a tomb in Peru, where Lara was the only one to escape, Amanda is back with a score to settle as they both race, along with the shady James Rutland Jr., to obtain an ancient artifact. Many other characters, both friends and foes, will stir things up. The story takes Lara through locations all over the world, from the Himalayas to Ghana, Kazakhstan, Bolivia, Japan and England, including her famous mansion filled with secrets and collectibles. Aside from current events, Lara's past is also revealed, through flashbacks. Among other things, you will get to know how she lost her mother and why it is such a burden.

The typical third-person action-adventuring exploring is still present. Lara can move more freely, and is no longer limited by specific jumps. As you travel through rough environments, you will need to run, dive, swim, climb on poles, ladders, roofs, use zip lines, shimmy and vault, with acrobatic actions such as somersaults and flips. You need to cross difficult terrain, solve puzzles to advance or open up new areas, and engage in combat. New tools include a grappling hook, not only used to move around but also to haul enemies scorpion style, binoculars, a PLS (personal light source), flares, a PDA and a headset to keep in contact with tech support Zip.

Enemies are still rather scarce. Both humans and animals will attack you, and the game retains the auto lock-on mode, but now with a slide attack and close combat with both kicks and punches, plus bullet-time actions to get behind enemies quickly. Lara carries her trademark dual-wielded pistols, but can also pick up new weapons along the way, such as a shotgun and grenades. Missions take place in both indoor and outdoor environments, with arcade motorcycle and jeep sequences in between. As usual, Lara has a fancy outfit for each location.

Trivia :
  • Tomb Raider: Legend has sold over 2.9 million copies.
  • Although the NEXT GEN mode for the PC version makes Lara and the environment look much better, it omits out a few effects seen in the normal mode. For example in the normal mode when Lara gets out of the water, you can see her wet and water dripping away from her skin. In NEXT GEN mode however, this effect is missing. Also in certain levels like Japan some of the Neon Lights are disabled in NEXT GEN mode.

Hint: Bolivia: Gold statue:
After using the stone seesaw to boost the iron cages up to the platform, open the gate the normal way. Then, move one of the cages on the side off its plate just enough to lower the door one notch. Quickly move the cage back. Climb over to the exit and scale the side of the doorway to get on top of the door. The gold reward is at the top.

Hint: Bolivia: Silver statue:
On the first rope in Bolivia, turn left to find the cave that has the silver reward.

Hint: Ghana: Gold statue:
At the end of the level, when you stand on button that opens the timed door, do not enter that door. Instead, go to the under the door to find a golden statue.

Hint: Peru: Play soccer:
At the beginning of the level, look to your right to see a soccer ball. You can shoot the ball around. Hit it past the dummy in between the fences and for a goal.

Hint: Japan: Alternate costume:
When you reach a room which has a hanging dragon in it, you will find a large red box. Throw it to the floor to break it. You will get a gold statue that gives you a new costume.

Hint: Defeating Amanda:
Use the following trick to defeat the final boss Amanda in Beast form. When fighting Amanda, do not go near to the edge, go near Amanda while she is fighting, or go into the center of the platform. The easiest way to die is to jump off the edge, so be careful. When you get Amanda's health down about halfway, the beast will fall to the ground and an image of Amanda will appear on the beast's body. Get in close as quickly as possible. Face Amanda, and press [Interact]. This brings the beast's damage threshold down. If you do not do it quickly enough, the beast will rise and heal to full. You must down the beast four times to win. The beast will start by using a random attack every few seconds. Every time you down the beast, the chance is increased that the it will perform another random attack immediately after the first. This means that when you have downed Amanda three times, she is likely to attack four times very quickly. The following is a list of her attacks.

Spreading attack: The beast will stick its arms into the ground. After a slight delay, slow, red projectiles will fan out. This can be easily avoided by jumping over them. Note: This attack is when the beast is most susceptible to damage.
Upwards blast: The beast's quickest attack, it will pound the ground with its arms and a burst of energy will appear beneath Lara. This is the best reason to keep moving.
Melee attack: A simple swipe. Stay away from the beast and it will not use this attack.
Homing attack: The most commonly used attack. The beast fires a pink homing smoke-like projectile which will explode on contact. This has area of effect. The more accurate the blast, the more damage Lara will take and the farther she will fly.
Shockwave: The most devastating attack. It does not do a lot of damage but can fling Lara halfway across the platform. Avoid it at all costs. It acts like the homing attack, but looks bluish. There is a distinct difference in appearance between the two projectiles.

Hint: Defeating the Unknown Entity in the Tesla room:
The goal is not to destroy the Entity, actually. The main objective is to remove the sword fragment for the machine directly above the Tesla turret. Ignore the Beast the entire time. First, pull the four levers around the room. They are on the outer wall and easily accessible. Then, hop into the Tesla turret. If you are knocked out of the turret, hop back in, healing as needed. Here, you must use the turret's "repel" function to launch the four lowered Tesla balls into the beams of energy. Do not use the "attract" function, as this will just slow you down. Once you have completed the entire circuit, wait for the electricity to die down then do it again. When you complete the circuit the second time, get out of the turret, switch to first person view, then use the grapple on the sword fragment and pull it out.

Hitman: Blood Money

Published by Eidos Interactive Ltd.
Developed by I/O Interactive A/S
Released 2006
Genre Action

Description :

47 returns in the 4th installment of the Hitman series. This time around you'll be able to undertake tasks far more demanding than previously, in major cities such as Las Vegas, New Orleans, Los Angeles and other exotic locations. A new notoriety system will track every single one of your moves, which in turn will demand utmost calculation in order to successfully accomplish your objectives. For those of you who are tired of a direct approach, you will be given the opportunity to stage accidents and should you be suspected, bribes and "other" accidents will always be at hand.

Blood Money also gives the player the opportunity to customize weapons. This will prove to be of great use in order to successfully adapt to the mission circumstances. Use your stealth and weapon skills as you see fit, but remember the cameras, the witnesses and the outcome. If you get careless, you might end up being hunted down by other assassins.

Requirements :

Min.CPU PIV
Min.OS Win 2000
Min.RAM 512MB
Min.DirectX 9.0C
DVD ROM
Keyboard
Mouse
Offline Players 1

Cheats :

Alternate main menu:
Successfully complete the game to change the background of the main menu.

Hint: Intel at no cost:
Purchase all the intel when a mission starts. Make a not of it, then pause game play and choose to restart the mission. You will have your original starting money, and the intel will now be available for purchase again even though you know what it contained.

Hint: Newspaper headlines:
After completing a level, the newspaper information varies depending on how you did. If you did poorly, the paper will say so in the paragraph. If you shoot very little and use mostly hand to hand it will say that there is not enough information to make a ranked description of you. High accuracy states you are a well trained marksman. Try doing the level differently to see different headlines.

Hint: A New Life: Quickly get FBI clothes:
To do this normally, you would drug the donuts and feed them to the feds in the van. You would then see them get sick and pass out before entering the van again. You do not actually have to do this. As soon as you see them getting sick, you can enter the van. They are so sick, they will not notice.

Hint: A New Life: Dispose of bodies:
Head down the street to the cul-de-sac en route to thhe lady gardening with the air rifle in her back yard. Go to the trash truck. Throw a body in the back, grab the lever on the side of truck and it will start to rev up. The back will close and when it opens, the body will be gone. You can drag and grind up every body on board.

Hint: Curtains Down: Easy "Silent Assassin" rank:
This trick requires that you have the scope for your Silverballer. As soon as the level starts, run up the steps and to the right. Toss a bomb and quickly pick the lock on the first door on the left. Walk in and explode the bomb. Wait a moment, then snipe the man up in his private box and the actor walking on stage. Put your gun away and get out of there. If done correctly you will get a "Silent Assassin" rank in under a minute.

Hint: Curtains Down: Rat Club:
In the basement during the mission, there are three rats. Kill them and a keycard labelled "Rat Club" will appear on the nearby table. Go up to where you can find the keycard for the light control room and there will be a door with a keycard slot. Use the "Rat Club" keycard on the door. Inside are rats boxing (with gloves on) and playing poker.

Hint: Flatline: Get police clothes:
As soon as the mission starts, you will see a guard shack. Run to the side door and enter. The cop inside will tell you to leave. dDo so. Then, wait a moment and walk back in. He will be walking the other way and will not see you. Quickly sedate or kill him. Take his gun and clothes. Also, check the gun box next to the door for extra ammunition.

Hint: License plates:
Look at the license plates of cars on different levels. On "A New Life", the suburbs, the license plate of all the cars reads BADBLOD (Bad Blood). On "A House Of Cards", the casino, the license plate of the first limo reads "L1MONEY", or something similar.

Hitman: Contracts

Published by Eidos, Inc.
Developed by IO Interactive A/S
Released 2004
Genre Action

Description :

Hitman: Contracts is the third game in the Hitman series by Eidos Interactive and Io Interactive.

You again take on the role of 47, the famous hitman of the past two games. The story opens with 47 being shot, and he is lying on the floor, dying. The whole game takes place in "flashbacks", and the missions you complete are missions that 47 has "already done", and he is reminsicing about them on his death bed. The beginning level opens up in the insane asylum where you ended the first game. People who finished the first game will immediately recognize it, but you do not need any past experience to enjoy the game or story.

You will be tasked with killing various targets or completing objectives, and you have a variety of ways to do so.

Hitman can be played as stealthily or as aggressively as you want. The game awards sneaky players with the "Silent Assassin" ranking, which gives you a special weapon upon completion. To do this, you must not fire your weapon at anybody except the target, and even then, you can only kill the target with one shot. You cannot kill anybody else, unless they are specific targets. Hitman: Contracts rewards those who are up to the challenge.

Requirements :

Min.CPU PIII
Min.OS Win98
Min.RAM 256MB
Min.DirectX 9.0b
CDROM Speed 8x
Keyboard
Mouse

Trivia :
  • A large majority of the levels in Hitman:Contracts are simply remakes of the levels from the original Hitman Codename 47 game. Almost all of the major missions from the original game have been remade in Contracts, the only major levels that weren't remade were the Columbia mission where you assassinate Pablo Ochoa, and the deathmatch-style final confrontation in the Asylum (both of these levels were very action-oriented, and were probably deemed inappropriate given the Hitman series new focus on more crafty, less rambo-ish gameplay).
Cheats :

Create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "hitmancontracts.ini" file in the game folder. Add the following lines to the end of the file.

Locate the "DefaultScene=AllLevels\Logos.gms" line and change it to "DefaultScene=AllLevels\LevelMenu.gms" to unlock all levels in the game.

Second chance:
When you are killed, the screen will turn black and white briefly. Try to shoot four people in the head while this is happening to resume playing with barely any health.

All weapons in training level:
Start the training level, then enable the end level code. You will complete it with a "Silent Assassin" rank. Choose the training level again, and all the weapons in the game will be unlocked in the weapons storage area. This also will unlock the Cardboard Tube weapon.

Hint: Asylum Aftermath: Future targets in tubes:
After you have completed the game and also collected Orthmeyer's Keycard from The Wang Fou Incident mission, go to the Asylum Aftermath mission. Proceed as normal until you reach the hallway with the mirror-window going along the right wall. Proceed into the next room, go down the short staircase, then go through the double doors. You should be in a room with cryo -tubes of clones inside. Go further into the next room. Labeled on each of the tubes are names of some targets that will be found in later levels (except for one, Otto Ort-Meyer). They also all look the same.

Hint: Asylum Aftermath: Enforcer sniper rifle:
Go along your normal route all the way to the end of the level. Do not go outside. When you get paced the for SWATs, turn left and go through the door. Go up the stairs and kill the SWAT. There is a cabinet with glass doors. Open it and get the sniper rifle. Finish the level and you will have unlocked the Enforcer sniper rifle.

Hint: Asylum Aftermath: Mini-gun:
Get a guard suit and take the elevator up to the mansion in The Wang Fou Incident mission. Get the key card (this will also get you the Desert Eagle). As soon as you complete the mission, go to the Asylum Aftermath mission. Go through the first set of double doors and there will be a red light in the hallway. Look to your right and there will be glass doors that you cannot break. This is where your key card is used to open up the doors. Kill the man and pick up the gun. You will walk very slow, and it is a mini gun. To unlock it at the gun selection screen, kill everyone in your way and escape while having the mini gun in your possession.

Hint: Asylum Aftermath: Gold Desert Eagle dual guns:
If you have the card from The Wang Fou Incident mission, go through your regular route until you get to a place where you see double doors in front of you or if you look to the right you see a man and a door down by the stairs. Go down by the stairs and open up the door with the card obtained from The Wang Fou Incident mission. The Gold Desert Eagles will be directly in front of you. Pick them up and finish the mission. When you go to the mission selection screen, you will find two Desert Eagle Magnum guns.

Hint: The Meat King's Party: Meat hook death:
In order for this to work, you must knock out the target you want to hang and not kill him. If you are out of Syringes, then use the pistol whip. Drag the target to the platform by the hook controls and stop the rail when an empty hook is in front of you. Get on the platform along with the dragged body. Make sure you are still dragging him and select "Hang On Meat Hook". Check the map and you will still see him as alive. If you want to hide the body, go to the derail controls on the northeast side of your position (the start/stop controls). After starting the rail again, move over to the derail controls and select "Derail". From that point on, all the bodies will come in from the main, spin, and move over to a hidden position for derailing. At that point, the body should be hidden.

Hint: The Seafood Massacre: Phantom chef:
Once the mission starts, run to the restaurant's basement where you cut the gas off. Grab the restaurant outfit and quickly run to kill the Red Dragon Negotiator. Dump him in the sewer, grab his amulet, and climb out. Next, head back to the basement. The guards will not know that you are not a restaurant employee. Cut the gas. Hide in the room where you got the outfit from and wait for the chef to go over to the gas thing. Quickly, yet quietly, exit the room and get behind the Chef. Note: Make sure you have the syringe out before you walk out the room. Just when he turns his head and spots you, stab him with the syringe. If done correctly, he should stand up and slowly walk away, leaving you in the motion as if you stabbed him. He will walk out the door, and get knocked out there.

Hint: Traditions Of The Trade: Walk around hotel with sniper rifle:
Normally, it is impossible to get a sniper rifle into a hotel without getting it taken away. However, there is a simple way to avoid this. After you show the guard your conference ID, walk up to the metal detector and stop directly in front of it. Then, drop the suitcase. Walk through the metal detector, then turn around and pick up the suitcase. It will not set off the detector, and you will be able to walk around with it. Note: Do the same trick to get past the other metal detectors.

If you start the level with the W200 Sniper Rifle, you can easily bring it inside. The first way is to drop the case before you enter the hotel, then look on your map for a small room with two cops in it. In that room is a switch to shut off metal detectors. Simply go back outside and collect your items. The second way is to dump all your items except the sniper case with the W2000 in it. Walk through casual, and you should be able to get in without any problems. A third way (not recommended) can be done if you are very skilled with a sniper rifle. Aim for the furthest cop, then quickly hit the other. Note: It takes a while to reload.

Hint: Traditions Of The Trade: Easy completion:
Instead of going through the trouble of getting the rose box when you first enter the back room, notice the bottle of whiskey. Assuming you have some type of poison, you can simply kill off one of the targets by using it. To get to the other target, you must go to the floor that his room is on. If you go to the room next to his (to the left if you are facing the door) and walk out onto the balcony, you will see one of his guards come out occasionally on patrol. When he does, a woman on a balcony past his will walk out and have a smoke. Once they both there, return to their rooms. You can jump to the balcony belonging to the target. Using stealth, you can open the door then walk up behind the guard and kill him using the fiber wire. After this is done, pick up his weapon and a silenced pistol. Grab the pistol and creep into the bathroom to eliminate the second target. Then, drop the pistol as to not set off any metal detectors that you need pass to reach to the X-ray room Then, return to the third floor, to the half where your room is located. If you open one door, you can step out onto the roof. Creep across the roof, making sure the guard in the pool below cannot see you, and sneak in through a window. Silently eliminate the guard and creep into the X-ray room. Get the bomb and leave by the way that you came from. Calmly walk downstairs and leave the hotel This will only work if you have killed the two Bosses to acquire the X-ray room key. Also, bring the briefcase from Room 202. Without this, you will be shot by the guards.

Hint: Bullet time:
When you die and can shoot people in slow motion, enable the "God mode" code. You will be in bullet time until you headshoot four people.

  • The game's main villain, Russian arms dealer Sergei Zavorotko, bears a remarkable resemblance to a character in Arnold Schwarzenegger's Eraser movie that introduced us to the joys of railguns. That character, also named Sergei, was also a Russian arms dealer and a secondary villain who showed up at the end of the film. Both he and the Sergei from Hitman have surprisingly similar appearances. Both have shoulder length hair, a thick moustache, and both wear wool turtlenecks under a red leather coat.

The Sergei from Hitman is balding on top, while the Sergei from Eraser isn't, but otherwise the two characters look almost exactly the same. It's possible the character design for the Hitman Sergei was inspired by the character from the Eraser movie.
  • In the Shogun Showdown mission, there's a big security workstation on the castle's 3rd floor that monitors the entire stage. On its main screen however, you can see a screenshot of IO's upcoming (at the time anyway) Freedom Fighters! Though if you look carefully (use 1st person view = F1) you can see a few changes in the interface, such as a radar screen added next to the health bars.

  • On the Hitman 2 CD, you will find some goodies: The hitman 3D Studio Max model, some early screenshots of the game, which are quite humourus, and some wallpapers.

  • Do you know the cool tv-ads for Hitman? They are made by the Hitman-developers, not by an agency...

Hint: Silent Assassin ranks:
You can still get a "Silent Assassin" rank on a mission if you are spotted. To get a "Silent Assassin" rank, there has to be nothing in the aggression bar. You can make sure of this by only using chloroform on guards and eliminating the target with just one shot.

Hint: Ambush the Temple: Easy Silent Assassin rank:
Start the level by running into the city and move in a general direction to the left until you reach a building. On your map, this is the bottom right building with a silver icon. Go in there and a man will talk to you. After that, walk up behind him (there is no need to sneak), and use some Anesthetic on him. Take his clothes then get out of the building. Then, go to your map. Note: This is very hard to describe in detail because the position of the agent is different each time. Look for the small red weapon pick-up icon. Go in, and a man sitting at a chair will fire two shots in the air, but no one will be alerted. After the intermission sequence, look at your map and find the yellow icon that is stationary (another one will be moving). The stationary icon will be somewhere in one of the two main plaza areas. Wherever the stationary icon is, go into the storage thing under it, and go up the stairs. Sneak up on the man at the window and Fiber Wire him. Take his Sniper Rifle, and take out the other yellow icon. Then, take pictures of the two dead men. Take the pictures back to the agent, and follow your map to the exit.

Hint: Gontranno Sanctuary: Flying scarecrow:
Equip a Fiber Wire and stand slightly to the right of the scarecrow. Double lean to the left and strangle it. If this does not work or you strangle it normally, walk slightly to the left or right of it.

Hint: Hidden Valley: Easy Silent Assassin rank:
When you start the level, stay in the shadows of the trees to avoid being spotted by the sniper. This may require a few attempts. When you see the tunnel, run towards it. Run along it towards the Agency pick-up. When get near the end of the tunnel, crouch and take out your Anesthetic. Look at your map and wait for guard patrolling there to walk away from you. Follow him. When he stops, use the Anesthetic on him. Make sure to use all five bottles. Then, take his clothes and pick up his gun. Save the game at this point. Note: In this level you do not have to complete your objective. Look at your map to see where the exit sign is located. Run when you can, but when you are near snipers walk. Try to stay far away from guards as they will check your I.D. and begin shooting at you. When you come near the exit again, stay as close to the mountains as possible and run. You will be able to complete the level with a Silent Assassin rank.

Hint: Invitation To A Party: Getting the Sniper Rifle:
If you want to pick up the Sniper Rifle and the suitcase at the same time, holster any weapons you may be carrying and pick up the suitcase. It should be in your left hand. Then, pick up the rifle and you will drop the suitcase on the ground. Take out you 9mm SD and the rifle should go into your left hand. Holster you 9mm SD, then pick up the suitcase. You now have the suitcase in your left hand, and have shifted the rifle to your right. You can even use the rifle with one hand.

Get the briefcase but do not kill the general. Instead, run to your boat and drop the briefcase directly next to it. Go back, kill the general, then get the rifle. Next, go up to your boat the mission will be completed. Try different positions for the briefcase if you do not get it the first time.

Hint: Invitation To A Party: Saving the Ambassador:
Go inside the mansion and into the ballroom. Find the tall agent that is by himself next to the piano. Wait until the Ambassador (as shown in the photo) enters the room to talk to the agent about the briefcase inside the safe. After they are done talking, they will exit the ballroom and the Ambassador will escort the agent to the room with the safe. Follow them, but do not get too close. They will enter the room with the safe and will talk to each other before the Ambassador opens it. Go inside the room next to the room that they are in without looking suspicious. Look inside the keyhole in the room that you are in, and you can see the agent pointing a .54 pistol at the Ambassador to kill him. Open the door and wait until the Ambassador opens the safe. This is your chance to take out the agent silently. Take the briefcase inside the safe and exit the room. The Ambassador will be directly in front of the table, very scared.

Hint: Redemption at Gontranno: Defeating Sergei:
After you have killed all of the bodyguards, get a sniper rifle. Go into the confession booth and wait for the Sergei to appear. When he begins to come out, run across the church and hide behind the cross. When Sergei is in front of you on the second level, fire one shot to the head. Note: If you are in stealth mode when you open a door, no one will hear you.

In order to fight the Boss, you have to eliminate all of the hitmen. This will make the Boss battle much easier. When you have killed all of the hitmen, enter the confession room on the left. This is the one that you pray in during the first level's loading screen. The priest will be in the confession room directly next to you, being held captive by the Russian general. The only way to get the general out is to crouch down and shoot a bullet at the heart on the confession booth's inside wall. A short intermission will start and the general will come out, firing an SP12. Use any automatic rifle and fire, making sure every bullet connects. Make sure you have the full amount of ammunition equipped in the gun. He should die within a few seconds.

After you have killed all of Sergei's bodyguards, return to the gun collection place. Select your M60 and full ammunition. Reload the gun and about five shots from it should kill Sergei.

Hint: Secret Valley: Easy Silent Assassin rank:
A sniper rifle is required for this trick At the Tracking Hayamoto level, add a sniper rifle to your inventory. When you complete that level, you will have the sniper rifle with you at the start of the Secret Valley level. When the level starts, take out the sniper covering the entrance to the tunnel with your sniper rifle. Wait until a cargo truck arrives. Look at your map and make sure that all of the men guarding the entrance are looking towards the alley before getting inside the back of the truck. Duck and wait until the truck stops. Get out of the truck and save the game at this point. Run until you reach the location where three guards are patrolling the way, up and down. Hide behind a pillar in the middle of the way and wait until the guard in front of you turns around and begins patrolling downwards. The guards are patrolling in a zigzag pattern. Do the same thing without getting spotted by the guard patrolling upwards. You will probably get spotted a few times before managing to do this successfully. Save the game after you have passed the guards and reach a safe location. Look at the map to see four guards blocking the way. Wait until a truck to arrive, but do not jump into it. The guards will check the truck and they will spot you if you hide inside it. Instead, wait until the truck reaches the guards, and they start to check it. Walk on the right side of the road and sneak by the guards while they are checking the truck. Save the game after you have passed the guards. Afterwards, you will reach a place with three guards patrolling up and down again. Use the same trick done previously and save the game afterwards. Look at your map to see many guards blocking the way out. Move towards the ladder at the upper corner at the map. Be careful, as a guard is patrolling the place. Do not kill or knock out the guard. Get past the guard and go up the ladder. Watch out for the sniper and avoid him at all costs by running towards the trees directly in front of you. Afterwards, just run to the exit and you will have completed the level with a Silent Assassin rank.

Hint: St. Petersburg Revisited: Easy completion:
As the level starts, get to the lockers and get the sniper rifle. The rounds for the sniper rifle are nto live rounds and you will not be able to take anybody out with it. Drop the sniper rifle -- this only leaves you the Fiber-Wire to complete the level. Get upstairs and enter the door leading to the sewers. Move throw the sewers and climb up the ladder which led you to the side of the parked truck when playing the St. Petersburg Stakeout level. As you approach Sergei's place, a sniper will attack you. Stand behind a wall and save the game, then quickly cross the street towards the building. Enter through the main door. Enter sneak mode before opening the door. Remain in sneak mode and go upstairs. Turn right and open the door. The sniper should be directly in front of you. Sneak up behind him and finish him off with the Fiber-wire. After the intermission sequence ends, get the sniper rifle lying beside the dead sniper. Run down and exit through the main door. Run back all the way towards the sewers. Do not stop as the Russian Mafia is chasing you. When you reach the ladder leading to the sewers, climb down and run towards the exit. Note: Some Russian Mafia guards are in the sewers. Just ignore them and run past.

Hint: More ammunition:
If you are near a stack of ammunition but are notified by the game that you cannot pick it up, use the following trick to get almost twice as much normal ammunition. For example, if you have a shotgun with full ammunition and are next to a pile of shotgun ammunition, fire one shot, reload, then pick up the ammunition. You will now have almost double the ammunition

Hint: Gun collection:
Throughout all the levels you will run into many different types of guns. Whenever you see a gun that you do not already have, pick it up. After you complete the level on which you found the gun, the gun will now be available at your house. You will have ammunition in the room for you to use if desired. However, there are many guns that are too big to carry inside your clothes and therefore must be held in the open. You will not be able to pick up a gun of the same size or greater without dropping the one you are holding. You will find other guns on the same level that you cannot pick up because you are already holding one, and the gun you want is simply too big to conceal. In this case, you will have to decide which gun you want more then finish the level with it. You can always replay that level to get the other gun that was left behind.

Hint: Hold two pistols at once:
Take out the pistol that you want in your right hand and drop it. Next, take out your Ballers and also drop them. Then, take out the pistol you want in your left hand. Pick up your Ballers and your gun should switch hands. Finally, pick up the last gun and you should be holding two pistols. The sawn-off shotgun can also be used for this.

Make the enemy soldiers act like civilians:
Find the "common/ai" folder in the game directory. Copy the guard.qvm, observer.qvm, rpg.qvm, gunner.qvm, patrol.qvm, radioguard.qvm and sniper.qvm files to a backup folder on your desktop. Make another folder on your desktop, then copy the civilian.qvm file there. Rename this file to one of the files listed above, then copy it back to the "ai" folder. Copy and rename the civilian file until each of the above files in the "ai" folder are replaced with the new .qvm file. Start the game and the enemies will behave like civilians. They will not shoot you, and will try to run away. However, tanks and cameras will still function the same way as before. If something goes wrong, copy the original files from your desktop backup directory to the game directory.
